Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about therapy, coaching, and holistic healing services.
Therapy
- I focus on supporting women who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in survival mode. Primary areas include: • Anxiety • Depression • Relationship and family stress • Identity crisis • Generational Trauma • Low self-esteem • Life transitions and emotional stagnation
- I provide therapy for adult women living in New York State.
- My practice is designed for outpatient, scheduled telehealth therapy, which means I’m not able to provide the level of immediate, high-contact support that a crisis requires. For that reason, I’m not the best fit for someone who is currently in crisis, experiencing active suicidal thoughts, or has a recent history of suicide attempts that may require closer monitoring or a higher level of care. This isn’t about judgment—it’s about making sure you get the right kind of support, right away. If you’re feeling unsafe or at risk of harming yourself, please call or text 988 (U.S. Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room. If you’re looking for ongoing therapy and need more intensive support at this time, I can help guide you toward resources that are better equipped to care for you. In addition, I’m not able to work with clients who are currently involved in an active legal court case for any reason. My role is to provide a therapeutic space for healing, not to participate in legal processes and I do not provide court-related documentation or testify in trials.
- I use an eclectic, evidence-based approach informed by: • Schema Therapy • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) • Parts Work • Strengths-based interventions • Emotion regulation skills • Mindfulness-informed strategies • Somatic Therapy All treatment is individualized to your needs and goals
- Therapy is collaborative, structured, and centered on helping you understand patterns, regulate emotions, strengthen boundaries, and reconnect with your authentic self. You guide the goals; I provide clinical expertise to support your progress.
- I offer secure virtual sessions only, available to clients located anywhere in the state of New York.
- I am currently Out of Network but can provide a monthly super bill for clients who wish to request out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance provider. Please contact your insurance company to understand your out-of-network deductibles, co-insurance, and to verify if a referral or prior authorization is required.
- Sessions are $225 per 53 minutes
- The length of therapy depends on your needs, goals, and the depth of the work. Some clients prefer short-term support, while others benefit from ongoing therapy to address deeper emotional patterns or trauma. We will revisit your goals regularly to ensure therapy remains aligned with your growth.
- Yes, when done ethically, holistic elements can be integrated into therapy when aligned with your treatment goals. Research supports that when clinically appropriate holistic elements are integrated alongside evidence-based care, most benefit from a more comprehensive, whole-person approach that expands their capacity for self-care and supports overall wellbeing.
- In our first session, we’ll take a grounded, comprehensive look at what’s bringing you in right now, and what you want to be different. We will also review onboarding paperwork and I will answer any questions that you may have. We’ll also begin to cover your history and the patterns that have shaped you, your current symptoms and stress responses, and the day-to-day challenges that are keeping you stuck or depleted. We’ll clarify your goals in real, lived terms (not just “feel better,” but what calm, steadiness, sleep, boundaries, and emotional safety actually look like in your body and in your life).
- Sessions must be canceled or rescheduled a minimum of 48 hours in advance of your appointment. Missed appointments or late cancellations will be charged at the full price of your session.
- You can schedule a 60 minute intake to get started. Intakes are charged at the standard rate of $225.
- Yes. I provide therapy in English, Spanish, or both, depending on your preference.
- Spanglish is the natural blend of Spanish and English that happens when both languages live in your everyday life. As an Afro Puerto Rican born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, I move fluidly between Spanish and English the way many Puerto Rican New Yorkers do - sometimes a word or phrase simply lands in English because it’s the most natural fit in the moment and vice versa. When it matters for clarity and comfort, I can absolutely keep our sessions and communication strictly in Spanish; my goal is always to meet you in the language that feels safest and most supportive for you.
Coaching
- Coaching is for women who are already self-led and high-functioning women who generally know what they want, can take ownership of their choices, and are ready to move on a specific goal or edge in their life. In coaching, we work as partners: we clarify your intention, identify what’s in the way, build practical steps, and keep you accountable as you follow through. Therapy, on the other hand, is the right container when you need space to process what’s been keeping you stuck - anxiety, depression, relational ruptures, unresolved experiences, or a season of transition that feels emotionally heavy or destabilizing. Therapy focuses more on healing and integration, helping you understand patterns, tend to your nervous system, and work through the deeper layers so you can move forward with steadiness and support.
- Coaching is ideal for women navigating career pivots, identity shifts, relationship transitions, burnout recovery, or any season where you know what direction you want to go but keep getting in your own way. You’ll probably be a good fit for coaching if: - You’re ready for active change. You want structure, accountability, and tools - not just insight. You’re willing to practice between sessions. - You’re in a transition. A breakup, a new chapter, a reinvention, a “this can’t be it” season and you want support staying grounded while you make real decisions. - You’re tired of performing strength. You want steadiness, clarity, and a life that feels like your own. Coaching may not be the best fit right now if you’re in acute crisis, feeling unsafe, dealing with active severe symptoms that require clinical treatment, or you’re looking for diagnosis/therapy-based care. In those cases, therapy (or a higher level of support if in crisis) is often the most supportive starting point. A simple gut-check question: “Do I want support processing what happened or, do I want support building the person and the life I’m becoming?” If it’s the second, coaching is likely the right container.
- Because your 1:1 meetings are reserved specifically for you, each scheduled meeting holds a protected space in my calendar. Consistent attendance matters - this work builds on itself, and showing up for your scheduled meetings ensures you receive the full value, momentum, and support you invested in. Missed meetings will not be rescheduled.

- Yes. All coaching meetings are virtual and available worldwide.
- No. To honor ethics and maintain clear boundaries, clients cannot be enrolled in therapy with me while receiving coaching. I will help you determine which service is most appropriate before beginning.
Holistic Healing
- During your session, you remain fully clothed and comfortably positioned while I use sound instruments to guide your body into deep restoration. Your nervous system begins to soften, release stress, and return to balance.
- Yes. Emotional release is common and healthy. When your body feels safe, stored emotions may rise to the surface. Crying, tearing up, or feeling waves of emotion are natural parts of the healing process.
- Trembling, shaking, or small muscle movements are signs of your nervous system releasing stress or survival responses. These sensations are safe and I support you through them.
- Some frequencies activate areas that hold tension or emotional residue. If a sound feels overwhelming, it's simply touching a part of your system that is ready for release. You can always let me know and we will adjust immediately.
- You may feel calm, relaxed, clear, lighter, emotional, or reflective. Others may feel tired as their body continues integrating the session for 48–72 hours. All responses are normal.
- Yes. These modalities support women experiencing chronic stress, survival mode, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and trauma responses. They help regulate your nervous system and reconnect you to your body.
- Wear comfortable clothing, avoid heavy meals, and come open to receiving. You don't have to do anything — simply allow yourself to be guided.
- Some people feel sensations immediately; others notice shifts later. Stillness does not mean it isn't working — healing happens even in subtle ways.
- Weekly or bi-weekly sessions support deeper healing, especially during emotional transitions. Monthly sessions help maintain grounding and balance.
